Last week I shared the three basic and easy oils with which I started to create better emotions and health in my life:  lemon, lavender, and peppermint. They all support physical and emotional wellbeing.  Today I am speaking about the next little miracle that has earned a place in my medicine cabinet, Frankincense!

I do not want to go too deeply into where the oils come from, because frankly, I do not think you care that much. (Unless you do care, and I will be happy to cover that!  Please let me know!)   For myself, TMI can overwhelm.  I just want to know if the oil is pure and what it can do for me.  I can assure you doTERRA oils are the purest on the planet.  Now for what frankincense can do for you:

Frankincense is known for promoting emotional wellbeing and balance.  It has been shown to reduce cortisol.  Anyone suffering from adrenal fatigue (or just too much stress) needs help controlling their cortisol levels.  Cortisol is the stress hormone, and too much of it wrecks havoc on the body. 

There are also many other health and beauty benefits to frankincense! 

According to Dr. Josh Axe, frankincense helps with digestion and helps balance hormones (and even helps with infertility)!  

“It does this by speeding up the secretion of digestive enzymes, increasing urination production, relaxing the muscles of the digestive tract and also helps improve circulation, which is needed for proper digestive health. What more can you ask for?  I love the sound of all that!

The list goes on.  Frankincense helps the immune system, improves memory, and helps beautify your skin.

You can diffuse Frankincense for the emotional benefits and/or add a couple drops to a carrier oil for beauty and emotional purposes (I use franctionated coconut oil).  You can also put a couple drops in a veggie capsule.  I am trying a drop under my tongue at night to help with cortisol levels.  Now be careful if you ingest frankincense.  Maike sure it is doterra brand, because other brands might not be safe to ingest.  Also be careful putting it under your tongue in case your are sensitive to it.  (Try diluting it in some water first).   I am not sensitive to it and can feel the miracles happening in my body!

There you have it!  Frankincense!
